Mission Statement

Ithaca College's Interlibrary Loan department is dedicated to providing academic, research, and teaching resources to institutions nation-wide. Our objective is to engender free lending and borrowing arrangements through consortium affiliations. Helping borrowing institutions acquire their requested items efficiently is a high priority for Ithaca College. We strive to fully process lending requests within 24 hours of receipt during weekday hours.

  • Copies of book chapters
  • Copies of Articles
  • E-articles, when permitted
  • Sound recordings - CD, Cassette, or LP formats*
  • Visual materials - DVD, VHS *
  • Note: items in the CORE collection, on Reserve, checked out, or purchased within the last two years are not available for loan. Items must be returned via UPS or Fed Ex.
  • Microfilm/fiche

Rush Requests

Our Schedule

Request limitations

There is no formal limit on the number of requests another Library can place. The Ithaca College Library reserves the right to cancel a request if it may be a violation of copyright infringement. Lending to other institutions may be restricted due to unforeseen staff shortages, or equipment outages.
